About Us
Absolut Ibiza was born between the island of Ibiza and India.
In 1994 our family left life in Dénia, Valencia, to move to Ibiza.
The island, then less known and deeply free, opened the doors to a different way of living.
Having left behind the seemingly secure salaried life on the mainland, we gladly reinvented ourselves and forged a way of life in which art and creativity finally became part of our daily routine. We began hand-dyeing and screen-printing our own designs on T-shirts that we sold at the Las Dalias craft market.
We also started creating a series of works inspired by African art, making paintings, tapestries, lamps, and different decorative objects, and held several exhibitions in different art galleries over the years.

The island teaches us to adapt our work and our leisure according to the natural rhythm of the seasons, from the intensity of the summer season to the languid winter months. It was in November 1996 when we began traveling to India.
It is there that our creativity expands and becomes a new way of understanding work.
We discovered its fabrics, colors, embroideries, and ancient artisanal techniques passed down from generation to generation, and we incorporated them into our clothing brand.
After more than 10 years with this way of life and work, the personal and professional paths of my then husband and business partner part ways, and that is when Absolut Ibiza is born from my hand: a fashion line created by and for women, with its own designs and identity.
In 2020, the world changes. And with it, Absolut Ibiza too. My daughter Paloma, who until then was working in the hotel industry, joins me as a partner.
Together we open the brand’s flagship store in the heart of Santa Eulalia. From there, we expand the Absolut universe: we design more complete collections together, jewelry, decorative objects, home textiles, bags, and footwear.
We design together in Ibiza throughout the year and also travel together to India every autumn, where we create our collection hand in hand with our tailors, artisans, and now friends for more than 30 years.
Absolut Ibiza is today the result of two perspectives, two generations, and a shared sensitivity. It is the synthesis of the free spirit of the island and the textile art of India that we know so well. Of two women and two experiences in constant creation, shaping each garment from lived experience, with comfort, elegance, and sobriety as our guiding principles.

I was born in 1961, in the countryside of Murcia, into a traditional Spanish family and in a time marked by hard work and the scent of peaches.
In my mid-twenties, I met my ex-husband, Pedro Asalgado, an artist and graphic designer, and another reality unfolded before me.
I began to discover my artistic side, trained myself, and together we created a graphic design and screen-printing company in the city of Dénia.
In the spring of 1994 we moved with our daughter to Ibiza, where the inner revolution continued.
I fell in love with the freedom in the air, with our long trips to India.
With the possibility of creating with my hands, expressing my vision of the world through art, and the immense luck of being able to make a living from it.
Absolut Ibiza is now one more step in this whole life story and artistic evolution, where I feel that everything finally flows and connects.

I was born in 1987 in Dénia, although when I was 6 years old my parents moved to Ibiza, the island where I grew up and where I still live.
I grew up in a house full of artists: brushes, canvases, art books, and fabric scraps were part of everyday life. My parents always encouraged me to find a passion and dedicate myself to it.
For years I searched for my path. I wanted to study Biology, although I eventually studied Tourism, as well as photography and a professional equestrian course. My love of travel led me to live in Australia, travel through Asia, South America, and Central America, and also live in California, where I met my husband.
After years working in luxury hospitality in Ibiza, alongside my travels, COVID arrived and with it a turning point. Joining my mother as a partner was then a natural step.
Since 2021 we have designed and produced our brand together. Being able to travel, choose fabrics, and create women’s clothing hand in hand with my mother is a privilege that allows me to unite my passions and turn them into my way of life.
